I am a self-taught artist, Neonatal Intensve Care Nurse, wife and mother. I have always held a strong interest in art and a love for all things creative. It has only been recently, that I have moved from poetry to visual art.
Art helps me to shut down the analytical, logical, and academic parts of my brain, allowing me to escape to my ‘art mind’ where I thrive.
I produce art by throwing, tipping, mixing, swirling, scraping and manipulating paint and other flowing mediums. When what I've produced finally satisfies my inner perfectionist – a difficult task, I feel refreshed, rejuvenated and fulfilled.
I am inspired by the beauty of abstract art, the flow and movement of paint and colour, and the endless possibilities in the interpretation by different viewers. |
