ARTIST NOTES: “I D O L” or alternatively titled “A Disrupted Introduction” is the first in a linear sequence of charcoal drawings. It references opening credits, Russian Montage and Polanski-esque undertones. The text is Russian Cyrillic and alludes to the sequence theme of Cinematic Idolatry.
